Visiting Three Temples in Chiang Mai During a Short Work Trip
During a brief work trip to Chiang Mai, I had the opportunity to visit three temples during my limited free time. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, with overcast skies and occasional drizzle, I managed to capture some beautiful images.
One of the temples I visited was Wat Phra Singh, where I braved the light rain to take photos amidst the picturesque surroundings.
These images offer a glimpse into the beauty and serenity of these sacred spaces, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Chiang Mai.

You can drive up Doi Suthep, but large buses are not allowed. However, there are songthaews available at the foot of the mountain. Doi Suthep closes at 9 pm.

If you're going up Doi Suthep at night, you should definitely come and take a picture from this angle. Not only will you get a beautiful view of Chiang Mai at night, but you might also be lucky enough to see the shadow of the chedi cast against the clouds. Haha… I wasn't able to, but if you do, the shadow will be on the left side of the cloud.
The evening visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep was intended to capture the silhouette of the temple against the clouds. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, resulting in a photograph of the golden stupa illuminated by the night sky.

The Wat Phra Singh temple in Chiang Mai city center was captured amidst a light drizzle in the late afternoon, just before the closing of the main church. The large church at the front was closed, so only the small pavilion and the pagoda inside the temple were captured.

The final section of the temple is a modern adaptation of Lanna art, with a dazzling array of structures. There are many buildings within the temple, and there are many angles for taking pictures. I captured as many as time allowed. The sky was overcast and not very bright, but I still managed to capture the striking features of the buildings there. I returned with no regrets. This temple has many names, but it is best known as Wat Baan Den (Wat Baan Den Sahri Si Mueang Kan). It is located in Mae Taeng district. #Chiang Mai #Worship #Camera Slinging Temple #Northern Thailand Tourism #Sadhu #Lanna Art #Wat Phra That Doi Suthep #Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan #Wat Baan Den
