Sam Roi Yod is considered as a well managed tourist attraction and owns more peaceful ambiance than Cha-am Hua-Hin. Seafood is tasty and reasonable price. So, this place is recommended to those who want to travel at the sea nearby Bangkok but avoid crowded area. It is little further from Hua-Hin but you will receive different atmosphere.

Day 1:

This is a family trip traveling by personal car. We leave home around 7.00AM heading to Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park. We stop by Rajabhak Park and Hua-Hin floating market to take some photos.

We are so amazed with its very big eyes.

After a little lost, we finally arrive at "Bung Bua Natural Study Center" inside Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park. The period we go is dry weather, so we get cracked soil view instead. Photo looks nice in another way. This trip makes us know that lotus pond occur from canal cannot drain water from mountain. Suitable period to go is end of year to the beginning of next year. The highest water level is in November.

After Bung Bua, we get on a boat for touring along Kao Daeng Canal. The price is THB500 per boat for 6 passengers, 1 hour. It is fortunately cloudy all day. So, the weather nice and cool. For normal weather, I recommend to go in the evening. On both riversides are mangrove forest that His Majesty the King initiates royal project for villagers to plant. Apart from that, there are limestone mountain and fishermen village.

Our next site is Sam Phraya Beach. It is a very calm beach, as if private beach, because there is no one else apart from us. After photographing, we visit Sai Cave in order to finish all activities in the day. As we arrive quite late, we didn't go up.

After being starving for a while, we go directly to delicious seafood restaurant, Yok Sod Seafood at Baan Bang Pu. Steersman at Kao Daeng Canal says it is tasty and low price. We fully enjoy eating steamed horse crab. Nice taste and very fresh.

We are so hungry that we forget to take picture of what we order.

Probably the terrace for a outdoor table. Nice view though.

Then we check in at The Green Beach Resort http://www.booking.com/hotel/th/the-green-beach-re.... Very impressive service, large swimming with Jacuzzi, clean room and free bicycle. There are not many guests. Peaceful ambiance. The resort offers various rooms to welcome large group. During high season, the atmosphere may change. It is the first time I realize lodging has crucial impact on experience in each trip.

Wow... is this for real?!

Day 2:

We wake up early to take snapshot of sunrise moment and atmosphere at Sam Roi Yod Beach. Then we ride resort's bikes along the beach to the end of road, approximately 8km. I'm very much impressed for proper bicycle lane together with beautiful sea view. I recommend the more early, the more pleasant ambiance you will see.

Good Morning, buddy!

Biking along the beach in the early morning is a recommended activity.

After burning with the bike this morning, we return to resort for breakfast, prepare ourselves and check out in late morning. Today we plan to travel at Phraya Nakhon Cave, eat seafood in afternoon and go back to Bangkok.

We park at Phraya Nakhon Temple and pay THB400 for a return round of ferry to the cave. Then we walk up the hill for another 430m. In case you don't wanna hire ferry, you can walk cross the mountain, total distance 2km. You will arrive at the cave too.

Ferry to Phraya Nakhon Cave

The only one viewpoint stop on the way up to the cave.

Finish from the cave. We have lunch at Jim Daeng Seafood on Sam Roi Yod Beach road. It is another delicious and low price restaurant. The restaurant's record is also interesting. Now we are full and ready to go back to Bangkok. This is the end of our trip in June.
