Sawadee kha, friends and fans, today I will review on Chiang Khan trip.

Every times I come back to Chiang Khan is always the same, I have never ever got bored, every time I feel like I am home.

warm feeling, lovely environment, numerous of time I have been back here; day trips and overnight, be cause of it isn't far from my home.

Today is a very special occasion, it's the Buddhist Lent Day and also my birthday..

This review I will be introducing you to a lovely accommodation with it's kind host...

I have reviewed a Chiang Khan trip on new year 2011, let's find out what is the difference between Chiang Khan today and four years ago..

Opening the review with a picture of long boating in Khong river which you can see Laos coast not far away at Kangkudkhu (islet)

The walking street at the mid day is still dead...

and here we are at my overnight place...

"Huan Yai Buppa" is the name of the hotel for today...

Buppa boutique hotel is a two wooden houses which connected with a walk way between to get to the Khong river..

The left house is a mini lobby for reception and guest rooms on the first and second floor with Khong river view.

The house on the right has new built guest rooms on the second floor...

Family room for a family vacation is included a private balcony with nice view...

The ancient wooden houses 80 years old are converted to be a lovely homy hotel,,just like your home away from home..

The reception with warm welcoming atmosphere, well clean hard wooden floor, walking comfortably with bare foot...

Even the house is old but some modern equipment is installed to give it's guest a convenient staying..

The couches beside walking street might be a bit too contrast to the wooden house in some people eyes..

But for me is not necessary that wooden house need all wooden furniture...

just need to place it at the right place then it will be blended and balanced...

Huan Yai Buppa is located on Rim-Khong road, opposite from Soi 11, the front connects to walking street, and the back is next to Khong river..

We are staying in the family room which can accommodate up to four persons..

Open the wooden door, the clean white bed is looking very inviting for jumping onto it..

wake up with the gorgeous view of Khong river, I would stop the time here, at Chiang Khan....

We are very lucky to get this room be cause month ago I called to book which was the last room and it was booked...

but that guest postpone his staying so I got a chance to take over these days..

In-room facilities are air conditioner, water heater and no TV, may be the owner does not want...

He wants guests enjoy vacation without and stressful news and waste their time with the television.

There is a half floor bedroom for two people in the room with a ladder to climb up..

the second bedroom, to reach here you have to climb up the slope ladder which is a bit too small...

Up here has another air conditioner and a small window to see the view...

The bed is very soft and comfortable just like a high standard hotel..

The bathroom in down stair, Let me me show you....what is inside...

All facilities, toilet seat, walls, floor are nice...

and all towels are clean ,,,ready to use..

Check it if the water run strong enough???

Well well well....

Two type of showers; normal shower and rain shower are equipped with water heater..

Walk out to breath Khong river view at the private balcony...

The sun is almost touch the ground....

Let's go to the walking street...

This is Phi Ta Khon mask, is the well known symbol for Ghost Mark Dance Festival of Loei ..

Gift shops are many more than the last four years in every corner.

Jam Loei rak, gift shop which I have seen every time I come here, never gone somewhere else....

Another cute place to stay " Royal Chiang Khan" but it isn't stand at the Khong's bank, it's opposite...

Very colorful....

Just sit down looking at the people traffic on the Buddhist Lent Day...

Chiang Khan Drama is a place to stay which set back to 70's cinema once mother was still young....

The post cards of movies are stick around build up the 1970's feeling for the walking street in Chiang Khan...

Recycle flower vase and ironic can are will matched...

This shop collects all about teddy bears, dolls, pens, pencils, rubber and everything...

The dolls fan as I am spend time here for a big while..

Shop zone was expanded, there are more small shops separate into categories...

Street artist, grandpa plays Thai organ and the grandma performs Thai dance, what the nice scene to color up the evening....

We walk quite a lot, the sky getting darker but the people still enjoy walking..

A restaurant at the Khong's bank, I can not remember the name....

Getting tired from walking, let's get some Thai iced tea to kill dehydration..

sit down in air conditioning room at Sam Ran Na coffee shop...

So tired....better come back to the hotel...

Will you sit on the comfortable couch or on the clean wooden floor? conform it's clean....

Walking with my bare foot, I don't feel any dusk, the owner takes care very well...

Sit down and looking at people walking on the Buddhist lent day at Chaing Khan...

Quite many people but during news year was much more...

It's the sunset time, hurry up to the Khong before it's getting too dark, otherwise we can't see anything...

Let's your mind fly with the nature in front of you,,,good night Chiang Khan...

Good morning Chiang Khan,,,,,,,Breath in the fresh air at my balcony....

I got up earlier and prepare myself for offering sticky rice to monks....

As I sit here look across the river to Laos coast which is blur with thin frog.....it's a little fall of rain in this early morning...

After the rain has stopped, then we get the thick frog to replace..^^

Not too long the it's starting to rain again,,,,,I am not even get a chance to offer food to the monks...So sad..

Right!! even it's raining but the monk still walks by.. this is what we call the faith....

After my mission is completed,, it's coffee time, a coffee cup on my hand and focus my eyes to the Mekong's view .......

Chill air, the water runs slowly, not rush, no hurry, I just want to live this way every day...

Coffee and tea with Thai bread are for in-house guests in the morning like this....

Finally the rain has stopped.... now it's my turn....

Free service bike cycle, let's bike along the walking street in the morning....not a bad idea...

It's good to bike this early be cause the shops are till close, no people are walking , you can fully enjoy your biking....

Find things for breakfast "Fresh rice noddle" this is "don't miss" when you are in Chiang Khan...

very similar to Vietnamese noodle but the soup is clear ,,, good taste...

A lovely coffee shop with colorful macaroon is open to host early guests...

I am so impressed even I did not expect and not exciting at all...

be cause I have been here many many times but I feel so special with my hotel

The owner is very friendly from the day I called to book and until when I was on the way, she always check where I am......

She was worry that I am going to miss the way....

Thank you to the two of them for making my special day became double special:)

Next chance I hope I can re-visit here again...

Many shops and more people are coming here but the local cultures and friendliness of residence are still remain...
